Bright eyed and ready for 24 hours of traveling! A little rough...not quite as bright eyed after 2 flights! Made it to Tokyo...one more flight to Fukuoka. first look at Nihon President Egan picked us up from the airport, and we made it to the mission home. Never has a bed looked so good. After dinner, paperwork, showers, and a little journaling, we crashed. Email home from the mission: Good evening, Thank you for having your sons and daughters serve in this mission. In the MTC, we have nicknames depending on how long we've been at the mtc learning Japanese. Kohai: weeks 1-3 Senpai: weeks 4-6 Dai Senpai: weeks 7-9 Konnichiwa! This week has had some ups and downs. It's crazy to think I have been here for 3 weeks. The time flies by. This week was really hard with Japanese. I felt like I wasn't getting it as much, but I know that the Lord is helping me everyday. My dai senpai (the group 6 weeks ahead of me) left. It was so sad because I grew really close to a lot of them. They were so kind and I know they will have amazing missions. It was the best, and then the next day we had a lesson with him. We also met with our referral and he is amazing and could actually be baptized any day. He is going on a trip, so we are going to meet when he comes back in October. Funny keiken: So I was getting a new companion this week right? So Whitney Shim...
