sticky note sketch of watching fireflies over the rice fields こんにちは!! This week was crazy! We had zone conference so we went back to Fukuoka for a day. It was our last zone conference with President and Sister Egan because next transfer we get out new Mission President. Zone conference was so spiritual and fun! We had so many miracles this week. Lots of funny times and just full of laughs. Last P-day we went to a stationary store to look for a new journal and we were there for a long time because there was so much cute stuff!!! Japan has the cutest stuff! Our investigators are doing great and progressing so much! Megumi San came to church and stayed for all 3 hours! He loves the idea that we are all brothers and sisters! He wants to come back! Amazing right!? We had a shokuji with the Kawanami family and after they took us to see fireflies! So pretty! We had 2 less actives with us too so we started to build that trust with them!  Funny keiken:  Our eternal i...

week 15: strawberry fields forever

Image
All you can pick strawberries! こんにちは! This week was full of ups and downs. We had district meeting in Sasebo and that was crazy fun. It turns into an all day thing for Sister Dimmitt and I because of travel. We also meet a ton of great people. So we are friends with the shrine owners, and now we are friends with a temple owner! Crazy the people you meet. We also met some Jehovah Witnesses and that was way awkward. We were both dendouing the same area. But it was super funny afterwards. Our investigator Tanaka San is having so trouble so we are trying to work with that. Megumi San, our other investigator, is progressing a ton and we are so excited.  The ward is amazing and kind and gives us a ton of food! We also went to an international tennis competition and got to watch that for a while. That was really cool! Spiritual keiken: So this week Elder Renlund did a special broadcast just for Japan! It was amazing. He and his wife talked about members and missionaries w...

こんいちは This week was fun and full of surprises. We didn't transfer! Another transfer together but our area got moved to a different district! We are now in the Sasabo district! We have a 3 1/2 hour train ride each way to get to our district meetings every Tuesday! We are so excited and not sure how it is all going to work. We had a ton of rain this week and it is only the beginning of the rainy season. It's crazy. We have rain suits (かっぱ) that we wear all the time. We also had a lot of miracles.  We had some stress and a lot of fun! Spiritual keiken:  We had a lesson with Megumi San. He is from our English class and it was supposed to be a bible class but we ended up teaching the restoration.  It was amazing. We taught in part English because he is trying to learn english. I was able to bear testimony and teach in English. It was super spiritual. Funny keiken:  Last P-day we spent our entire P-day with our investigator Tanaka San. We taught a lesson to h...

knitting a hat for a soon-to-be baby in our ward! こんにちは So because of the weird transfer last week there are only a few days to write about. So yesterday was Miracle Monday!  We saw so many miracles. We had church and the members are so nice and kind. We had another great lesson with Tanaka San and she is progressing amazingly. Friday was a crazy p-day and we were biking all around Kurume and it was not very relaxing, but it was good that we got a lot of things done. Spiritual keiken: Yesterday we saw lots of miracles! We biked for 45 mins to try to find a less actives apartment.  She lives really far away. We found the apartment and she was not home. We had a little bit of time before we needed to head back home to get home on time and so we knocked a few doors. We knocked on one door and a man opened the door. He was nice and really curious about why two Gaijin (foreigners)  were at his door. He invited us in (his wife was home so we were good to go in)...
