week 17: perfected in Christ

biking all day...every day!

こんにちは

Well this week flew just like usual. We had so many miracles!  It's been hard and crazy this week. We had a very packed schedule. We meet so many people here who know of Christ. They don't believe in Him, but they know about him. Most of Japan doesn't really believe in God or are not part of a religion.  It's crazy how many prepared people there are. I love meeting them all. We met this one girl this week who was Christian but not currently active. That was cool. I don't know if i mentioned this last week, but we now have Pocket Wifi! Amazing blessing because now we can message our investigators anywhere, and if we get lost its okay!

Spiritual keiken:  On Wednesday we were going to this area that we have been wanting to visit for awhile. We start going and the Spirit tells us to go a different way, so we do. On the way we see Yasuo San. He is an Eikaiwa student (english class)  and has been on our minds a lot. We stop and talk for a really long time and it turns out, he has a friend who is a less active member of our church. We keep talking and by the end we are giving him a Book of Mormon to read. Not sure where it will go, but amazing!

Funny keiken:  So continuing on, we get on our bikes to leave and Sister Dimmitt has a flat tire. Way awkward. Yasuo San tells us where a bike shop is and we start in that direction. It was the end of the month though and we had no money, so we turn back around and on the way home, he sees us and walks with us for 20 minutes and just talks. Really funny because we were trying to avoid the awkwardness of seeing him again with our still flat tire!

Also, desserts here in Japan are so yummy! The first day we got money this month, we went and bought treats! Its was funny because we were so excited!

I love you all and miss you a ton. This scripture helped us a lot this week.
Moroni 10:32
"Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God."

Be safe and have fun! I know that through Christ we can become perfect!

Bits and pieces from family emails:
Our ward has 20-30 active members, and about 200 inactive.
We have maybe 7 primary kids and 3 youth.
I got to teach an elementary age girl this week in my English class!
Favorite food this week was ICE CREAM.. rice with like orange and other stuff in it and pink fish flakes (sprinkles like) on it... really yummy!!
We met with Tanaka San this week. An inactive member invited us and her to dinner. We are working with her and slowly building trust.
I'm doing my best here and I love it!

Japan has the BEST snack food!

I LOVE the treats!
