week 18: tsuyu has arrived

こんにちは！
This week flew! We had Mensetsu (interviews) on Tuesday and so I got to see my old district again!  I also had my last interview with kaichou.  Next transfer we get a new president! Super sad and excited! Tsuyu has arrived. It is a month of rain and more rain. The hydrangeas are gorgeous though. They only bloom during tsuyu. A nice grandma gave us some pretty pink ones and they are beautiful. Lots of mogi's (rolyplays) this week. We are using them to teach less actives. We had a lesson with Tanaka San and she is progressing little by little. We also had a lesson with Megumi San and invited him to baptism.  He isn't  sure yet, but we think he will know soon. We also had so much fun visiting less actives this week. They are so nice!

Funny keiken: Okay, so we went to Tosu this week which is really far. We took a train to get there. We met this guy named Naoya San who has been trying to meet with us for a month to talk about English. He talks a lot. We did teach him and his wife a lesson. He was telling how he studied English and he started doing different accents. (British, American, etc) really funny! He told some jokes. They were in Japanese so I didn't understand them, but Sister Dimmitt thought he was so funny!
Last Monday we tried to do some fun P-day stuff, but everything we tried was closed, so we went to plan c and went shopping. We were at a recycle shop and met into Yasuo San!  We have run into him so many times at the most random places! He talked with us and got our opinion on some religious things. Funny how the Lord leads us even on P-day. 

Spiritual keiken: We live in an area with both city and country. We decided to dendou in the country... later at night. So we had a lot of fun and a sweet lady gave us corn, but when it was time for us to start going home, we realized we were in the middle of rice fields where everything looks the same. We were both pretty worried as we tried to find our way home. Sister Dimmitt was relying on the spirit and amazingly, we found our way home. It was a miracle because we were completely lost!

We have what we call Senpai day. Basically, it's a day where I get to be Senior and learn how to do stuff. So yesterday was one of those days. (No junior likes Senpai day) We were going to a totally different area than planned to go dendou. We streeted a little bit and stopped this Obachan (grandma). After talking for a while, we asked if we could say a pray with her. After the prayer she started to cry and said she was so thankful for the sweet words said. Its amazing that we have the opportunity to bring people this kind of joy even if they don't accept the gospel.

I love you all so much!  I know Heavenly Father guides us everyday. I know he is aware of each of us and if we give him our problems, our weaknesses, and our doubts, he will take them fix them and strengthen us. I love you all!

castle in Utsuki LOVE THIS SHIMAI!! こんにちは Ready for the craziest week yet!? So this week we met this guy who lives at the top of a huge hill. We talked to him and he said "I'm not going to join your church." We were like "okay, do you like English?" And he took an eikaiwa flyer (more on him later). So we had a lot of crazy MIRACLES!  I can't even tell you how amazing this week was. We went to Utsuki to visit a member. She wasn't home but we dendoed around there, and it was really fun and right next to the ocean. We honestly were lead so many times. This transfer is Whitney Shimai's last one, she goes home on Friday. I can't express how much I love her and how much she has shaped my mission. week 6: scripture talk

Time here is flying. This week was pretty amazing. Gawrys Shimai and I taught some great and not so great lessons. But it's all good, because either way we learned something new. We got a new investigator. Her name is Yui Kuwakara. She is super sweet and patient.  The oldest group of missionaries in our zone left for Nihon (Japan). My district is the next one to leave which is crazy. This week has had lots of laughs and some tears. Missions aren't easy, but they are worth it. week 13: golden week of miracles

knitting a hat for a soon-to-be baby in our ward! こんにちは So because of the weird transfer last week there are only a few days to write about. So yesterday was Miracle Monday!  We saw so many miracles. We had church and the members are so nice and kind. We had another great lesson with Tanaka San and she is progressing amazingly. Friday was a crazy p-day and we were biking all around Kurume and it was not very relaxing, but it was good that we got a lot of things done. Spiritual keiken: Yesterday we saw lots of miracles! We biked for 45 mins to try to find a less actives apartment.  She lives really far away. We found the apartment and she was not home. We had a little bit of time before we needed to head back home to get home on time and so we knocked a few doors. We knocked on one door and a man opened the door. He was nice and really curious about why two Gaijin (foreigners)  were at his door. He invited us in (his wife was home so we were good to go in)...
