week 70: dreams do come true

Miyajima for pday and jumping for joy because we're missionaries!!

こんにちは！HELLO Family and Friends  How are you all doing?

This week was amazing. Monday we went to Miyajima with some eikaiwa students and got a tour. After we met up with other missionaries and played on the island. Then Tuesday we had MLC. One bullet train later we were in Fukuoka. Wednesday we had our Japanese class and later that night we went went and played basketball with a lot of PIs. They were ranging in age from a sophomore in high school to a 56 year old lady. It was so fun! Then Thursday we went to Costco. That was shocking. Everything is huge and they had the carts magnetized to go on an escalator...Way cool. Later we went ministering with Shima 姉妹. We met a lot of members we didn't know. Friday we went ministering with Tsukamoto 姉妹. That was way fun! I love her! Then Saturday we had lessons with Sayo and Yanagida. Then Sunday we had church and after church there was a cool Book of Mormon class. That's my week in a short explanation. 

Funny keiken: so this week I had a dream where we were trying to do companion inventory and we had to call someone. It took some time and then after Sister Berg was like "let's do companion inventory in the last 15 minutes of the night!". That was my dream. Then on Friday it literally came true! Exactly the same! So after, I started laughing and so did Berg Shimai because I had shared my dream with her. It was way funny! 

Spiritual keiken : We met さよちゃん on the train about three weeks ago. We taught her a short lesson and ended by giving her a book of Mormon. We exchanged lines and went on our way. We messaged her periodically about college or reading the Book of Mormon, but she always said she was busy so she didn't have time to read or meet with us. We decided to try one more time and then if she couldn't. we would essentially drop her and not worry about her as much. We messaged her about college and she said it had been really hard this last week, so we took the opportunity to testify to her of the Book of Mormon and how it can bring peace and comfort in hard situations. She responded later saying she read a little bit and was 感動しました (she felt something)。We knew she was still busy so we asked if we could call and talk to her on line (that's a social media thing here in Japan) about the book of Mormon and what she felt. We had a great little lesson and we get to meet her again on Tuesday! Awesome miracle!

castle in Utsuki LOVE THIS SHIMAI!! こんにちは Ready for the craziest week yet!? So this week we met this guy who lives at the top of a huge hill. We talked to him and he said "I'm not going to join your church." We were like "okay, do you like English?" And he took an eikaiwa flyer (more on him later). So we had a lot of crazy MIRACLES!  I can't even tell you how amazing this week was. We went to Utsuki to visit a member. She wasn't home but we dendoed around there, and it was really fun and right next to the ocean. We honestly were lead so many times. This transfer is Whitney Shimai's last one, she goes home on Friday. I can't express how much I love her and how much she has shaped my mission. She is amazing and America is lucky to get her back.  MAKE SURE TO READ THE STORY AT THE END IT IS CRAZY! Spiritual keiken: Well, we had an amazing lesson with Waka Chan and Yoko Shimai! week 6: scripture talk

zone pictures before the dai senpai left for Japan... I love these people with my whole heart!   paper roses from a sweet sister  Konnichiwa Minasan (everyone)! Wow another week!. Time here is flying. This week was pretty amazing. Gawrys Shimai and I taught some great and not so great lessons. But it's all good, because either way we learned something new. We got a new investigator. Her name is Yui Kuwakara. She is super sweet and patient.  The oldest group of missionaries in our zone left for Nihon (Japan). My district is the next one to leave which is crazy. This week has had lots of laughs and some tears. Missions aren't easy, but they are worth it. week 13: golden week of miracles

knitting a hat for a soon-to-be baby in our ward! こんにちは So because of the weird transfer last week there are only a few days to write about. So yesterday was Miracle Monday!  We saw so many miracles. We had church and the members are so nice and kind. We had another great lesson with Tanaka San and she is progressing amazingly. Friday was a crazy p-day and we were biking all around Kurume and it was not very relaxing, but it was good that we got a lot of things done. Spiritual keiken: Yesterday we saw lots of miracles! We biked for 45 mins to try to find a less actives apartment.  She lives really far away. We found the apartment and she was not home. We had a little bit of time before we needed to head back home to get home on time and so we knocked a few doors. We knocked on one door and a man opened the door. He was nice and really curious about why two Gaijin (foreigners)  were at his door. He invited us in (his wife was home so we were good to go in)...
