Konnichiwa Minasan (everyone)!

Wow another week!. Time here is flying. This week was pretty amazing. Gawrys Shimai and I taught some great and not so great lessons. But it's all good, because either way we learned something new. We got a new investigator. Her name is Yui Kuwakara. She is super sweet and patient.  The oldest group of missionaries in our zone left for Nihon (Japan). My district is the next one to leave which is crazy. This week has had lots of laughs and some tears. Missions aren't easy, but they are worth it.

Spiritual keiken:  Gawrys Shimai and I had a lesson with Yui.  The last lesson wasn't great and so we did our very best to prepare for this one. On the way over we realized we didn't have a question translated that we needed for a transition in the lesson. Right as we start to freak out a man walks off the elevator.  This was an MTC worker we had met before, and we knew he served in Nihon. He happily helped us and we then went to our lesson. The chance of meeting into him was very low. We had arrived early and happened to be waiting for the elevator.  If we had arrived any later, we would have missed him. Heavenly Father blesses his children when we have done all we can do.

Funny keiken: Okay so this week Davis Choro went to the hospital. Don't worry, he is okay. So it's 9:30, and we find out over district chat that he is there. So of course we all start to worry. On district chat Stanley Choro starts to write in scripture talk. This was the result:
"He said it was painful, Yea, even a step down from the pain of having an appendix burst. For he did not go into the gym for Exercise, yea, neither did  his Companion, that which is Lavae-Choro.And it has come to pass that our Davis-Choro was accompanied by his companion, Lavae-Choro, to the hospital. And we await word." Parrack shimai added "And many did worry. Yeah they prayed to the Lord for his mercy." And of course, when they finally returned home Stanley Choro wrote "Hark! For they have returned! They, being Davis-Choro and his companion Lavae-Choro, who had gone to the hospital because of the plight that was over Davis-Choro. And everything seemed well, as the doctors applied their knowledge to him, that he may get well, and stuck him with a large needle and secreted a substantial amount of substance, that it may heal him from his plight. And thus I make an end of my records for this day. And I say, Have a well sleep. I am Elder Stanley. Amen."
It was super funny!

New words: こんにちわ konnichiwa: hello (good afternoon)
またね Matane: good-bye, see you later

I love you all and miss you all! Have a wonderful week! I hope you all are happy and healthy!

sunny days are good for the soul!

Solari Choro had to stay one extra day with our zone...
he was waiting on his visa, which came 1 day late!

With just 3 weeks left, we are now the dai senpai...
the older and wiser ones.

My aunt Lana and uncle Dean came and met up with me for dinner Tuesday.
They are the sweetest...they even brought us marshmallow popcorn.
I thought Rasmussen Shimai might just die from how yummy it was!

We studied this week on the 6th floor by this amazing mural of Joseph Smith.
(pretty sure the model for this was Kallin Bagley from AF!)

Note from the mama: Maddy had a little mix up with her words this week. She was trying to say "box" in Japanese which is "hako". Instead, she said "haku" which is "throw up"! She had a good laugh at herself!
