The rice fields in Japan are so beautiful!

This week was full of miracles! We had a lesson with Tanaka San and it was awesome! Her faith is growing and it is amazing! We had district training and a member in Saga brought us food... including home made ice cream! That was so fun. Dimmitt しまい and I are the only sisters in the district, but the Choros are awesome! They are so nice and funny. We talked about our investigators and got great advice. We also had cleaning checks. The Henrys are the sweet couple that are in charge of that. We got 100%!! That rarely happens but it did! On Thursday we had the opportunity to serve. Ogata しまい invited us to help pull weeds at her neighbor's house. It was fun! Japanese people are masters of the sun. They are super skin healthy so when we got there she gave us these sleeves, a hat, gloves, and a towel for around our neck. It was super funny because I am not used to that, but it protected us from the sun. We also went to McDonald's and I got french fries! They are so different than America. I finally met our other investigator, Okeya San. He is half philppino. He is super nice. We took him to get Udon and he paid for us. It was so nice! We found a great dendou area but it took us 40 minutes to bike there... I'm getting crazy bike muscles!

Funny けいけん : So the shrine people we met invited us to go to the kindergarten and it was super fun. After they invited us to go to a dinner at the school they were holding later this this week. It was so awkward... it was for the shrine staff and the school teachers. Really yummy food but so weird because we were the random gaijin friends. They were super nice and gave us juice while everyone else (but the kids) had alcohol or tea. By the time we left they were trying to set us up on dates with the guys... it was so funny and awkward!
Spiritual けいけん: Tanaka San came to church! We were in sacrament meetings when Nihara しまい jumps up and starts heading to the back! She was welcoming Tanaka San in. We had no idea she was coming but she took a jump of faith and came. She had to leave after the first speaker to go to work but she came! It was a kiseki (miracle)!!
New words : きせき (kiseki): miracle
しんこう (shinkou): faith
I love you all so much!

Bit and pieces from family emails:
The biking is getting easier! I'm building biking muscles! This week we biked 40 minutes to a new place to dendou. Totally worth it because we got a return appointment!
The language is still a big challenge, but little by little I can see improvements. I even gave a talk last Sunday in Japanese.
I still haven't cooked too much because Dimmitt Shimai is awesome and does so much of the cooking! I did cook an egg this week...haha! And I do all the dishes, so we work together just perfectly.
Weirdest/yuckiest thing I've eaten was a pickled plum. It was SO SOUR! I pretended to like it because I'm hoping eventually I will, but Dimmitt Shimai revealed my secret!
Rice is pretty expensive here, but we still eat a lot of it. We also eat a lot of noodles and vegetables.
Japan is a beautiful place!

I'm just in love with this city!
There she is....DESTINY...in all her teal glory!
And my wonderful companion!!
every little spot is just lovely
all smiles waiting to help serve!
