week 42: wait...I'm translating??

getting ready for the holidays!

こんにちは!

It feels like i was just talking to you all! Since Thanksgiving we have had a lot of fun! We went on splits with a member (she is getting ready to go on a mission), learned to make origami Christmas trees, and had a crazy sacrament meeting. Everyone is doing good. For those of you keeping track of my injuries, you can add tendonitis to the list. To clarify, I didn't do anything this time. It just happened...no biking still and too much walking does not make my foot happy! KOZUE SAN CAME TO SACRAMENT! Now this was interesting because I was going to give a talk in the American Branch and she is Japanese and a member had brought her (he is also Japanese), so I was sitting next to this cute family and I hear the brother asking about me and I turn around and they are there, in the American branch! So they came in sat by me and I spent all the time except for my talk translating for them... I really don't have the Japanese skills (at least I don't think I do) for it so it was pretty funny. It was really fun and we were so happy they came!

Funny keiken : Okay, so we were trying to think of fun things to do and we decided to make a document about the ward. But we soon found we couldn't work on it from our tablets, so instead we decided to try making a power point. We started making it and we had Christmas music on, and we wanted to put together pictures of the members to help us learn their names. We couldn't find any pictures so our next solution was facebook. We started facebook stalking the ward and it was so fun! Some of the pictures were hilarious (don't worry we put only nice pictures in the Power Point)! We had a blast!

Spiritual keiken:  So Thanksgiving..I was super blessed to be near a base and get to celebrate the holiday. We went back to the Michels from Monday dinner. This time two Japanese elders came with us. It was weird that I  was the only American missionary. For the rest of the missionaries, it was their first Thanksgiving.  It was really fun and I was just so thankful I got to be part of it.  We really don't know how lucky and blessed we are in America. Everyday I learn that with different things. So if you didn't do it for Thanksgiving, please make a list of things you are thankful for!

New words
しゃっくり(shakkuri): hiccup
まるぼうず(marubouzu): bald head
はたらく(hataraku): to work

I love you all! I'm so thankful for this mission and all I'm learning. I miss you all! I know this church is true and God is there every moment of every day. He can heal our scars and fix our hearts. He loves each and everyone of us.

 愛しています!
