week 68: the final transfer

Genpaku Dome for our zone pday activity...
just as beautiful and heartwrenching as it was 2 weeks ago

こんにちは!

HELLO Family and Friends   We got transfer calls..... I'm staying! Sister Berg is going to be staying too! I'll be finishing my mission with her here in Takasu! I'm so hyped!

This week was amazing as always! We had a ton of miracles! So Monday we did zone P-day and after had an aloha night, way fun! The elders who planned it all killed it! We taught everyone about Tonga and made food from Tonga! Tuesday we had a really amazing lesson with Mori San and invited him to invite his wife to hear the lessons. He said he will try. We also had district meeting and went to Costco! I got a Purukogi bake (can't spell but yea) it was  super good then finished the day with Eikaiwa.

Wednesday we had our Japanese class and that was way good. We always end up with a huge group of the teachers talking to us so we dendo a lot. Also had an amazing lesson with Soejima San. It was a little bit more about who Jesus Christ is and man the spirit was powerful.  Thursday we had a lesson with mom gang, ate food and talked about eternal families. Then at eikaiwa, I explained  prophets to them.

Friday we had a relief society activity and went and looked at gardens. They were beautiful and a few of the gardeners had heard of the church. Then we ran and spent the night at Hikari... why? Because Saturday we had an emergency MLC so we went to Fukuoka again! Elder Choi of the seventy came and spoke to us. It was a direct gift from God.  He answered a lot of my prayers.

Then Sunday, Okinaga San came to church and we had a really good lesson with him. Monday we went to a noh play (very traditional japanese play). It was cool and we were with some potentials but I didn't understand the play...haha. After talking to a few Japanese people, I found out they didn't understand it either so I felt better!  Then we had the best lesson with Soejima San! So spiritual! That night we went with Tsukamoto Shimai to visit members and at one home, he gave us a referral and at the other we had a powerful lesson!

Funny keiken: One day this week it was way bright outside... so we sent outside and I said "It's so bright I'm blind!!" (Then I realized I had forgotten my glasses)  and I said, "wait I'm actually blind!" I was way funny!

Spiritual keiken : We were visiting returning members with Tsukamoto Shimai and visited this cute obachan! This grandma kinda forgot about the church. She has been exploring other churches and trying to find peace. So we started teaching her about the Book of Mormon and how it answers the questions of the soul. She asked her question which was "where do we go after death?" She was really scared about that. So we   used the Book of Mormon to talk about the spirit world. The scripture we shared brought her peace. At the end when we left she was crying. I am so grateful to be part of her progression.

New words:
やきめし (yakimeshi) : fried rice
ばそばそ (Basobaso): dry and crumbling

I love you all! I love Japan!

Love,
